La pensée n'est qu'un éclair au milieu d'une longue nuit, mais c'est cet éclair qui est tout.
Hi, welcome to my page! My name is Huarui Zhou, Huarui (華瑞) is my given name, and Zhou (周) is my family name. I was born and raised in Macheng(麻城), a small but beautiful city in Hubei Province, China. I completed my undergraduate studies in Biology and Math in Beijing. After that, I moved to Durham to pursue my PhD at Duke University. Now, I’m a PhD candidate studying how the cell cycle is regulated in endocycling and polyploid yeasts.
Outside of research, I’m a big math fan, and I also enjoy hiking, painting, and working out. I have a pet rabbit named Blanc, whose Chinese name is "小老鼠" (which means little mouse). He’s been my buddy for the past three years.
